    Nicholas Boyd-Mathews

    Nicholas has more than 35 years of international investment management experience spanning portfolio management, natural resources, institutional asset management, capital markets and corporate finance.

    ​

    He currently serves as Chief Investment Officer and Director of Janah Capital, where he is responsible for investment strategy, portfolio construction and risk management. He is also a Portfolio Manager at ICM Global Funds, contributing to the firm's global investment platform and institutional investment capabilities.

     

    Nicholas began his career as a metals and mining analyst in metals and mining at Morgan Stanley in London before becoming a Discretionary Portfolio Manager at Natwest Markets. He later joined Killik & Co. Mayfair, significantly growing Killik Asset Management as Branch Manager and Discretionary Portfolio Manager. 


    He subsequently relocated to Australia and founded and launched the ACD Australian Natural Resources UCITS III OEIC Fund, the first FCA-regulated UK fund dedicted to Australian natural resources. As Portfolio Manager, the fund consistently outperformed its peer group and the S&P/ASX 300 Resources Index over its investment period.
     

    Nicholas later founded Eden Partners, which evolved into today's Janah Capital, and he has also held senior executive positions including Head of Global Markets at Canaccord Genuity and Phillip Capital, where he advised institutional and high-net-worth investors on equities, capital raisings and global investment strategies.

    Throughout his career, Nicholas has managed institutional and private wealth portfolios, advised listed companies and developed deep expertise across the global mining, energy and natural resources sectors. His investment philosophy combines disciplined fundamental research with active portfolio management, rigorous risk management and ESG integration. 


    Nicholas is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
